In the light of his obsession with territory and its aesthetic representation, Alban Duchateau builds up a suspended time in the intimacy of urban planning, tying together lines and geometrical volumes, as well as a enigmatic absraction with tangible geography.
Influenced by Théo Van Doesburg, J.R., Georges Perec’s brutalism, he creates a hybrid and subjective view of cartography. In a sensitive and reserved way, You Are Here intends to comprehend the city’s architecture, a reflective break toward its surroundings.
